2022
Dr Stephanie Mack - Stephanie has joined our first Spin-Out, Zygosity, as our Head of Platform and is responsible for driving innovation around CRISPR in a therapeutic context. Congratulations Steph!
Bill Mansfield - Bill has moved on to head up the in vivo aspect of Transgenics at the Babraham Institute, bringing with him a wealth of Transgenics, and especially ESC, expertise.
2019
Dr Guocheng Lan (Deputy and Interim Head, Transgenics) - Guocheng is now a Group Leader at the prestigious Hong Kong University. He heads up a team looking into the intricacies of interspecies chimerism.
Dr Xiangang Zou (Head, Transgenics) - We are indebted to Xiangang for building Transgenics from empty labs to what it is today. Xiangang has taken early retirement to spend more time with family.
Magdalena Borowick (in vivo Specialist)
2018
Tiffeney Mann (Visiting Scientist)
Christina Schmidt (Visiting Scientist) - PhD Student (Frezza Lab, MRC)
Tiffeney Mann (Visiting Scientist) - MPhil Student (Jodrell Lab, CI)
Isabel Esain-Garcia (Summer Intern, 2018) - Isabel won a Genetics Society Scholarship to join the lab over the hot UK 2018 Summer. Bel pioneered a new approach to prototyping different editing strategies using E.coli cell free systems, and introduced the lab to our first microfluidic chip! The multi-talented Bel is continuing her Biochemistry/Music double degree at Imperial college London, with a view to starting her PhD back in Cambridge later this year with none other than Sir Shankar Balasubramanian.
2017
Julia Rodrigues (Research Assistant, 2015-2017) - Julia played a key role in expanding our understanding of the kinetics and dynamics of genome editing in mouse embryonic stem cells. She is now a PhD student at the prestigious Imperial College London.
Rubén Álvarez (Research Associate, 2017) - Rubén was instrumental in the construction of a high throughput CRISPR clone selection pipeline. He is now pursuing a career at the innovative Cambridge drug discovery company Phoremost.
